Established in 1992, the Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority (TRSWA) is a regional solid waste management agency committed to promoting environmental stewardship, fiscal responsibility, and collaborative solutions among local governments. Operating as a public body and corporate entity, TRSWA works to enhance local solid waste management services by ensuring efficient, environmentally responsible waste handling and disposal while maintaining respect for local control and authority. Each county council appoints a representative to the TRSWA Board of Directors, fostering strong regional cooperation and oversight.
